About Petit Pas Dance Studio
Our Philosophy
At Petit Pas Dance Studio, we don’t follow a rigid syllabus or conduct formal exams. We do not use structured systems like the Russian ballet method or the RAD syllabus.
Instead, we follow our own unique syllabus and that is a "happy child" syllabus. We believe progress should feel natural, not pressured. When a dancer is ready to move to the next level, it's a gentle, mutual decision, no stress, no testing, just a shared love of dance.

As our students grow and develop, they move from magical fairy tale themes to a deeper focus on technique, musicality, and artistic expression. Yet throughout every stage, our mission stays the same: to nurture confident, joyful dancers by fostering self-esteem, encouraging creativity, and sharing the beauty of ballet in a way that children truly love.

Hi, I’m Nikki, and I’d love to share the story of how I became a professional ballerina.

At just six years old, I heard a radio announcement calling for talented children. Without hesitation, I thought, "This is for me!" My father always told me I had a gift, and in that moment, I believed him. I didn’t even know what ballet was, but I went to the audition—and it was love at first sight.
Ballet became my path to discipline, grace, and confidence. Over the years, I performed in countless dance festivals and had the privilege of collaborating with the Maurice Béjart and Sergei Diaghilev Ballet companies. My studies at the International Dance Academy in Paris deepened my foundation in both Russian ballet technique and the elegant, upper-body-focused French style.
The idea for Petit Pas Dance Studio was born from my passion for dance and my desire to provide young children with an age-appropriate, inspiring introduction to ballet.
I believe in nurturing each child's individuality, encouraging their unique expression, and helping them build both a strong technique and a deep love for the art. At Petit Pas, we create a space where children can develop not just as dancers but as confident, creative individuals.
